In the monitoring list of the applications that make traffic on the network interface you

It is possible that your connection to the Internet is using the dynamic
allocation of the IP address. In order to monitor any change in the configuration of the network interfaces it has to be set on General Settings, Advanced
Settings the option Detect IP change on YES and then activate the modifications by
pressing the adequate option from the associated toolbar.
Using another application (for instance: Wireshark) I monitor undetected traffic by the E.L.A. application. It is possible for
that traffic not made by any application that could be detect by the
application E.L.A. You can monitor this type of traffic activating the
option Monitor another traffic form the Advanced settings section and then activate the modifications by pressing the adequate option in the associated toolbar.
After a power break down the application launches with an exception that stops its execution. Since the application
saves the traffic information in a Microsoft Access (.mdb) database it
is possible that the associated file to be corrupted. The application
E.L.A. allows the compacting and repairing the database using the
parameter /compact in command line.
If neither after using this artifice the application does not launch correctly, delete the file ELA.mdb from the working directory of the application.
Does the application allow the monitor connections that uses the PPPoE protocol?
In Control Panel / Network Connections you created a connection to the Internet which
uses the PPPoE protocol, that you named, for instance, RDS. The E.L.A. application
allows the monitor this type of connection, with condition that it be active. Once
activated, the application detects automatically the connection parameters and initiates
the monitoring of the network traffic. The starting of the RDS connection can be made
automatically by the application, when being launched in execution, setting the following
parameters in the Options / General settings section:
Application: C:\WINDOWS\system32\rasphone.exe Folder: C:\WINDOWS\system32 Parameters: -d RDS Wait: Da Wait timeout: 30 |
